Haymarket T Station Fail

If water if dripping from the ceiling what should you do? Apparently the staff at the Haymarket T Station thought that putting a cone on the puddle was sufficient. Anyone have a bucket?

Old South Meeting House

I thought that I ran into another protest today but it was just for the raising of the bell at the Old South Meeting House. One of the people working there told me that clock tower has been empty since 1876. This bell, one of only twenty six bells to be made by Paul Revere himself, had been at Westborough's First Baptist Chruch for over 200 years. At 2pm today it was lifted into the newly restored clock tower.

R.I.P.D. - movie shoot

I came across this accident scene being shot today in Boston's financial district. I didn't get to see them filming but a woman I stood next too said she had seen Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges.

Occupy Boston

Not sure what the occupiers were protesting today but here they are marching in downtown crossing.

Free concert on the hatch shell

This is from the last free concert on the hatch shell. The music was all ballet music written by Tchaikovsky and performed by dancers from the Boston Ballet. So sad to see summer ending...

Parades

Just because the Saint Anthony's Feast had to be canceled because of the tropical storm does not mean the parades were canceled as well. Just another night in the north end!

Here is a picture of the courtyard of the Old North Church covered in leaves. That was the extent of the damage I saw today when I walked around. The news is reporting some trees down in Boston and power outages in other parts of the state but we escaped really any damage from Hurricane - I mean Tropical Storm Irene.
